Simile Poem

Your hair looks like a sweater broken
at the bottom,
like a curtain blowing by the wind
tangling all together
like a lion's face after a meal,
like the shores of Jamaican islands,
like blends of light through the blind,
like a old mop that had washed so many times,
like pieces of puzzles lying on the table,
like a swarm of bees squishing into one beehive,
but can not put themselves in order,
like a whirl spinning in the wrong direction,
like a giant bowl of udons,
like withered sticks fallen on the sidewalk
like a Teddy bear that no one bothered to clean it up
like a row of sushi falling apart,
like Medusa's snakes hissing at
an innocent kid,
like a bed sheet not yet flatten in the morning,
like a thousand flies sucking on a rotten apple,
like paper plans floating through the air,
like someone scratching his hair during
the damned science test.

copy change poem:

However hard I try to think,
Of all it comes is a quick blink.

Why I can never remember,
The electrons in metal zinc.

Rate of change is always the same,
But they can have different names.

You can find nobody to blame
That sodium gives out orange blame.

Too many properties there are,
To be measured and fit on scale.

A week to go before I wail,
Because the whole test I will fail.

And now I eat and drink and sleep,
With no fear or lie inside deep.

Do not disturb my pleasant sleep,
Do not disturb my pleasant sleep.

Copy changed poem: The Green Bushes

So much depends
upon

The green
bushes

Swinging in the morning
breeze

Beside a yellow
oriole

R & J UNIT homework

BLOG AS IF YOU WERE THE PRINCE. IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE TRAGEDY,
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY BETTER?

The deaths of Romeo and Juliet has soothed the tense situation between the Capulet and Montague. The tragedy is a lesson for all citizens, that hatred and animosity destroy life, destroy happiness, destroy our hope for a better future. As the Prince of Verona, I am determined to stop hatred and bring peace into our community. I will make strict laws to expel all violence from the city. Anyone who start fighting will not only receive punishment (i.e. work), but must also openly apologize. I will make everybody equal in front of the laws: if Capulet and Montague themselves fight, they must apologize to each other and to the community. Thus, the ordinary citizens of Verona will realize that keep our community clean of blood and hatred is a responsibility shared by every single person. We together will make a better future for ourselves and for our children.

First Day of School

On the first day of school
Jem told me that, in school
Everything is different
I should not bother him
Nor embarrass him in front of "his" friends

Dressed in her red-and-white-striped dress
Miss Caroline is a peppermint drop
A faint line always come between her eyebrows
And Atticus always wrong by her

I am no longer praising Jesus's words
Cats and rats and men scatter all over the place instead
I am no longer allowed to write
We must all learn how to Print

Where does my buttered sandwich reward go
Or where does the dozen quick little pats come from

Miss Caroline is different
Not like Atticus,
Not Jem, not Dill
Not Calpurnia
Not anyone I known

She is only a pretty little thing

It doesn't matter where you came from; it matters where you want to go.

I am here.
I cannot write beautiful handwriting.
I  do not play piano as well as all the other "brilliant" people.
I cannot memorise eight simple drawings within 15 seconds.
I will never pronounce "synthesis" properly, nor Korean, nor Spanish.

I keep telling myself I'm alright,
because I know,
slowly but steadily
I am walking towards the tomorrow me
the better me.
